Roymal’s UV (ultraviolet) curable coatings are formulated to perform as primers and topcoats. This aqueous UV cure chemistry is based upon acrylic and polyurethane backbone polymers. Aqueous (waterbased) UV cure coatings are oven dried (water removal is required) and UV cured inline or offline depending on the press configuration. Our UV cure primers allow a print receptive surface (uncured) and remains UV curable after the ink is applied which can potentially form covalent bonds between the ink (if UV active) and the primer after a UV curing cycle. Our UV cure topcoats have excellent water and chemical resistance and have excellent adhesion to films. Typically, these UV cure coatings are applied to paper, paperboard and film using direct/reverse rotogravure or meyer rod.

I would like to test your UV soft feel for screen printing onto a dark-colored digitally printed (xerographic) coated paper substrate. Do you provide samples? If your product is suitable for screen printing, what is the recommended mesh? Thanks a lot.
